Information we handle

We process account details such as your email, display name, password hash, and session identifiers; linked-game and optional Discord account identifiers; purchase, payment-status, delivery, wallet, withdrawal, loyalty, and referral records; and support and security records needed to operate CXL.

Creator Program information includes your application, profile and public links, submitted content, review decisions, referral attribution, eligible purchase totals, engagement measurements, and loyalty awards. For approved YouTube videos we use public counts from the YouTube Data API. A submitted link alone does not qualify for rewards.

Our optional article tracker reports the approved article URL and submission ID after a visitor has viewed and interacted with that page. It combines the visitor IP address and browser user-agent with the article and UTC day into a keyed daily hash to limit repeat counting. Its article-view table stores that hash and a timestamp, not a raw IP address or tracking cookie. Hosting and security providers may separately process request information in their logs. Creators who install the tracker should disclose it on their own sites.

Site and security services may process IP address, browser and device information, approximate location inferred from IP address, CAPTCHA results, and diagnostic or abuse-prevention signals. Embedded media, ads, analytics, and payment pages may collect information under their own notices.

How we use and share information

We use information to provide accounts and linked-game services; process purchases, deliveries and rewards; run referrals and the Creator Program; respond to support requests; protect accounts and detect abuse; maintain transaction records; and improve the service. We share information as needed with hosting and security providers, payment and payout processors, connected games, and providers you choose to connect, such as Discord. Public creator content may be displayed as described in the program.

Instagram and Facebook Page connections and automatic Meta-based engagement rewards are not live yet. If enabled, creators will choose whether to authorize read-only access to the selected professional account or Page identity and content insights. This feature will not request publishing or private-message access. We will update this policy and the connection screen before collecting Meta account data.

Cookies and outside services

A secure, HTTP-only session cookie keeps you signed in for approximately 30 days. Creator referral attribution is recorded when a new member signs up through a creator link; opening that link alone does not reserve a referral across later visits. The optional article tracker does not set a cookie. Third-party embeds, advertisements, analytics, CAPTCHA, and payment providers may use their own technologies and policies.

Retention and security

Today, CXL does not run a general automatic purge or offer self-service account deletion. Account, linked-game, creator, and transaction records may therefore remain until we remove eligible information after a verified request or manual review. We retain records when needed for an active account, purchase fulfillment, a dispute, fraud prevention, or a legal obligation. Where Canadian tax-record rules apply, supporting purchase and accounting records generally must be kept for at least six years from the end of the last relevant tax year; a longer applicable obligation or unresolved dispute may require more time. When a record is no longer needed, we can remove or de-identify it after review. Cookie expiration does not itself delete server-side records.

We use access controls, password hashing, secure session cookies, and infrastructure security controls. No online service can promise absolute security. Information may be processed by providers outside your country.

Your choices

You can request access, correction, or deletion of information associated with your CXL account at admin@lightningquest.net. We verify ownership and explain any records we must retain. See our data deletion instructions. Deleting CXL information does not automatically delete separate accounts at linked games or third-party platforms. You can also manage or revoke connected services through their own settings.

We may update this policy as our services change. The date above identifies the current version; material changes will be announced on CXL or directly where appropriate.
